May 31 st — The joy of hearing a song by Florence Welch. Her voice is so powerful. Music makes me feel alive — tapping to the beat, humming each note, noticing tone changes. I recognise half the songs on the playlist this morning; usually I don’t know as many.
The two young women sitting next to me both sang to one of the lyrics that I was singing. Music brings us together.
The feeling of grass under foot as I walk through the Meadows was pleasant. I remember playing in the garden as a kid. I am surrounded by colorful flowers — pinks and purples and whites and oranges. The flowers are well cared for. It’s nice to feel the wind blow through my hair. I can smell the shampoo; it is a soft vanilla.
May 30 th — I am enjoying the smell of nature this morning. It feels like it is going to rain. The plants on the path are all growing. I felt like I was walking into a forest for a brief moment.
I have to duck my head more when I am walking because the trees are growing.
